- We( my wife Patty and I ) found out about these versatile hunting dogs by a friend. I have always had dogs, all varietys and some were house dogs (pets of our girls).
- I was a member of our gun club in 1990 and this guy had a Deutsch Drahthaar pup with him and we got to visiting about the dogs background, so when this gentlemen had pups I just had to have one. What an experience!, since then, which was in 1991, I have been very dedicated to this breed of dog in the aspect of hunting and breeding. I also judge these dogs in their testing programs. I also love to train with others and for other DD owners. With my wife's help( most of the time) we have a great training program and area. We have access to land and to ponds for water training as we have an acreage of our own here in central IL. where MO.IA and IL meet on the Mississippi.

This dog lives with his family in Germany and loves people and is driven to please his owner. His coat is hard, thick, and dense .
Cora is the most friendly dog, she is always happy and great with her pups. She loves to hunt and socialize with others. Gets along very well with other hunters and their dogs.
